There's usually a thread over at Macrumors about this sort of thing.
The difference will be that the Mac version has two sets of firmware.

In the past people have had success fla****ng ordinary PC cards, but
only if they have sufficient on-board memory. 

For example, some 8800GTs have a 64KB ROM, and some 128KB ROM. 64KB 
is not sufficiently large to contain both sets of firmware.
