My Versiontracker subscription is up for renewal in the next couple of
weeks and it's time to look at a few options. I'm finding I use it less
now that most software updates itself (except Vuescan, but I pretty
know I'm out of date when I run that, seems to be updated every week at
least).
I seem to remember there was an open source one that did a similar job
recently, but can't remember the name and my searching is apparently
rubbish this morning. There's also macupdate.com, but I'm not sure if
they provide the same sort of service versiontracker does with a local
app that will scan and prompt for updates.
Anyone remember what I'm trying to think of for the open source one?
Anyone using that or MacUpdate?
