10.4 Mail - disable rendering of PDFs

Hi there,

is there a way to prevent Mail from rendering the actual content of an 
attached PDF inline?

A client of mine is very annoyed by this when composing a message and 
would much rather see a plain icon, or nothing at all in the body of the 
message. She still needs to be able to send styled text though so 
switching to plain text as the default format is not an option.

I use Eudora which never renders attachments in *outgoing* messages and 
only just realised that Mail's behaviour is rather annoying indeed.
