Odd one here: I installed 10.5.3 last week - no massive change
noticed. I added a new Quicksilver theme last night (one of the nice
ones from lifehacker's article, like Bezel HUD et al). After a bit of
use - my MBP's faster! Like, significantly. I'm confused! QS itself
is much, much snappier, and general GUI operations on the mac seem a
lot quicker. I guess this could be an upgrade to the video driver
combined with a bug in QS - I've used QS since the very first days of
my Mac and have migrated the system over to my current MBP so I've
never really used OS X without it, so don't have a baseline if it had
been slowing it down a bit in the past.
Anyone shed any light on this? Are you seeing big improvements with
10.5.3? Or has 10.5.3 sped up anything previously broken?
