Restore to MAKE a backup?? <shakes head in despair> :-)    I'll look into
it 
as a 'manual' solution though

That sounds worth looking into.  I don't need a bootable clone, just an 
automated backup of my Do***ents folder and iPhoto libraries

Hm... will Backup.app only work with .Mac or will it allow backups to be 
placed on network mounts?
