I want to know how well VLC runs on Linux, I know its a broad church
with many and varied distros, I was thinking of getting an eeepc 900
after discussing it with Gareth Slee at work. If I do, I want to take it
abroad to use it to play Handbrake ripped DVD's to keep the kids amused
when they decide to get up at 5am.  Having said all that the version of
Xandros on the eee seems to be an Asus version (tabs etc). So I suppose
should be asking the eeepc owners in this group about installing VLC.
