Google Calendar problem

I'm using Opera 9.26 on Mac Leopard  OS X 10.5.2.

When I try to create an event in Google Calendar, either by mouse clicking
on 
create event or hitting return, the event is never created.  Sometimes it 
does work.

I don't have a problem creating an event with Safari or Firefox, only with

Opera.

I know that Google says Opera is not sup****ted, but is there a way to get 
this working.
