Does Javascript affect reloading?

by The New Guy <replytogroup@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 21, 2007 at 01:37 PM

So I'm watching a webpage and use my usual method: Right click on the
page, Reload every ...... minutes. Except lately I've created some
Javascript disable/enable shortcuts (Cmd_****ft_J/Cmd_J) which are
working great and don't conflict with anything. So I'm able now to
browse with Javascript off most of the time for much greater speed.
Should have done that long ago. When you have a page that isn't
working (say that shows videos) a quick Cmd_J, Cmd_R will enable
Javascript and reload the page in less than a second.

But......when Javascript is not enabled the auto reloading of the page
doesn't seem to work. Is this a bug? I guess another solution is to
have 2 versions of Opera running, one with Javascript enabled for
reloading websites and another with it disabled for efficient
browsing. Some would say, "use another browser" but I've never seen
another OS X compatible browser that auto reloads webpages. Perhaps
there is a plugin or addon for Firefox or Safari that would accomplish
that?
