mft crash due copying

by otoflick@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Oct 3, 2006 at 03:04 AM

Hi,

I have a strange problem in win2000. I have one brand new hard disk
about 180GB, which is partitioned into two partition C and D. First
work fine without problems, but now one problem arise. Problem is, when
I copy one large 700MB file in explorer from partition C to partition
D. Copying is incredibily fast, below 30 s, before this problem copy
operation take about 2 minutes.
The second copied file is normaly corrupted. It has same name and space
on disk but corrupted.
Result of this copy operation is corrupted MFT on C partition too. I
can see a blue screen with some "memory dump error" and this is the
end. On restart I get "NTDLR is missing".
I can boot computer with bootable cd-linux Knoppix, and works fine,
only first partition is corrupted or nearly empty.
Then I tested RAM memory with memtest86 and show no errors. It says
everythingis OK.
Normaly I can copy files in NTFS DOS without problems , but is very
slow.
This MFT problem happened about three time yet, so I have installed
windows 3 times. Always I copy file, it crash....

Have you any idea about this problem.

Best regards
