Media player for Mac doesn't sup****t using javascript for scripting
the embedded player, sorry. The full list of functionality for that
(now discontinued) player is on this page :

You may instead be able to suggest to your users to install Flip4Mac
codecs for Quicktime player, and script against that instead.
