Mac clients "out of disk space" NOT!

All Mac clients (OS X 10.1.9 through 10.4.3) re****t "out of disk space" on 
Windows 2003 Small Business Server volume with over 200GB free!  The PCs
have 
no such problem.  The Mac clients are using SMB protocol to access the 
Windows volume.  The server and the clients have the latest service packs
and 
updates.  Anyone know how to solve this problem?
