Identity Database Corruption

by "Geise, Brad" <BGeise@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 21, 2007 at 10:46 AM

Hello!

I just received a new MacBook Pro and am moving my files from my old
laptop
(not really that old - actually another MacBook Pro) to my new machine.
In
the process of moving the sup****t files for Entourage 2004, I found that
my
identity database will not copy to my external drive and cannot be burned
to
a DVD so that I can move it to the other machine. I get about 2/3 of the
way through the burn or the copy and it quits because it encounters some
type of error. A few key facts:

1. The database is over 1 gb and has tons of saved mail for work. I have
tried to whittle down my saved mail and have seen no decrease in the size
of
my database.

2. I have used the database utility in office to verify the database - it
says that everything is fine.

3. I have used the database utility to rebuild the database and it
encounters an error and quits.

Any other ideas?

Best and Happy Thanksgiving...

Brad
