Same problem here. approx 6 hours with HP sup****t for a C7280 gave me the
exact same results. Nada. I'm quitting on it and trying to find another
printer with less complicated installation software. HP is the leader in
convoluted software (used to think MS had a lock on that, but I believe HP
has outdone themselves with this latest round of bloated, unnecessary
software steps.
