Since you mention that the iMac can detect the wireless network [I'm 
assuming while using Windows] then your wireless drivers should be set 
up correctly.

But you don't mention what happens when you try to connect. What 
messages do you receive telling you that you can not connect?

Are you running any third party security software such as Norton 
Security? If so, disable that and then try to connect.
