Unable to Connect to XP Pro

by info@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Nov 5, 2007 at 06:07 AM

Hi,

I've downloaded and installed RDC Beta 2 for the Mac. I've also
configured my XP Pro desktop to accept Remote Desktop connection in my
Windows Firewall. The Mac laptop is simply connected wirelessly to
the internet; the XP desktop is connected to a cable modem to the
internet. I have a dynamic IP address.

When I attempt to enter this dynamic IP address into RDC, I get this
error message:
The Mac cannot connect to the Windows-based computer

I'm no expert, and am confused about this, but perhaps there is an
issue with ****t 3389: on my Windows desktop, using a ****t reading
utility I see my computer's IP address runs on ****t 3389, but when I
my public IP address (at least thats what I think its called), it is
blocked and I think it runs on a different ****t.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Steve
