This is a newsgroup dedicated to Microsoft applications for Macintosh.
Windows Media Player Edition doesn't connect to a domain because it is a
product intended for home use, and domains are inherently intended for
business use.
An argument could be made that the Home Edition & Media Edition are sold
at
a discount rather than the 'pro' edition being sold at a premium.
However, your rant would be better placed in one of the windows
newsgroups.
