I'm not sure where you get that impression, but it isn't accurate. Yes,
there have been some users who have had to do so and the actual reasons
are
not totally clear - each situation seems to include variables that others
don't. For the overwhelming majority of Office 2008 users, however, the
updates have gone without any problems at all.
