I'm having a similar issue, with a twist... I have installed 12.1.1, and
the installer confirms that the software was installed successfully, but
when I check the version in any of the Office apps it tells me I'm still
at 12.1.0, and the AutoUpdate when run continues to say that 12.1.1 needs
to be installed. I've "installed" 12.1.1 at least half a dozen times, each
supposedly successfully, and yet, no update.
Any ideas?
