Well, there are certainly people who have installed it with no problems, 
so it isn't happening to everyone. By the way, the truly computer savvy 
know that they are taking a risk by being among the first people to 
install an update, and they don't do it without backups and the ability 
to go back easily.

If you've tried everything, guess there is nothing else you can do. 
People who want to find a fix might start by going through the list of 
MS recommendations that I posted, and re****ting results.
