I just downloaded from Mactopia, and it tells me that it can't find a
version of Office to update. More specifically it says: "You cannot
install
Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.0.1 Update on this volume. A version of
the
software required to install this update was not found on this volume."

Shades of the 12.0.1 update. I did install the 12.0.1 update from the file
downloaded from Mactopia when Auto Update wouldn't find it, but I
shouldn't
imagine that would matter.
