Object Palette Crashes

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

A few weeks ago I had a number of replies to this problem, but no
solution--some work arounds, but no fix--just checking in to see if there
any progress on a solution. My object palette crashes Word & Powerpoint
when I click on the "camera" icon, but only if there is a .mov file the
folder I am accessing. It happens in Finder & iPhoto.
