Problem using Word in Spaces

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

Hi there,

I am using Word configured to appear in Leopardīs Spaces. However,
sometimes when I click on the Word window, Word jumps into a different
window or else the Inspector does. Then sometimes the inspector window
goes completely blank, and I have to click it off and open it again. It is
happening so often that it is becoming unusable.

Any thoughts for a remedy?
