Erm ...
If I go to Finder|Help and search on "permissions" or "disk permissions"
I don't see anything about 'repairing disk permissions'. So ... I'm not
sure I've done that. Is there a better way for me to search for
do***entation and help for my iMac?
See my separate response to John McGhie ...
Thanks for suggestions ... one of them will work ... I hope ... *g*
