How to connect to an Oracle Database from a Word Macro

by =?Utf-8?B?a2VubnltY2U=?= <kennymce@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 9, 2008 at 08:40 AM

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect to an Oracle database via
a
Word Macro. I'd quite like to avoid installing the Oracle client software
on
all the client machines, so I gather my best option is to connect using
the
Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle.
I plan to create a File DSN on each machine that uses the do***ent by some

automatic means.

The thing is, I can't find any example syntax for

a) Creating the File DSN to connect to Oracle
b) Connecting to the Oracle database using the ODBC driver.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but I'm really stumped! Can
anyone
help?

Thanks in advance,
--
