Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I just installed Tiger and am now having problems with OFfice 2004 on G4.
Scrolling is a problem, waiting for printer page to show image of page and
generally much slower to work with. Won't highlight text... etc.
Any suggestions?
