Thanks, Bob! You're right about the other command. I also don't like to
have keyboard shortcuts that involve such widely separated keys.
I realize I didn't say earlier that I set up two minus signs in succession
as my AutoCorrect item for en dash -- similar in position to the [minus
key
followed by equal key] of the em dash.
As to your ref to Elliott's "well-deserved pat on the pate", that is the
most outstanding example of onomatopoeia that has appeared in this
newsgroup
for five years!
Um, I think it's actually the only one...
