Sorry if it wasn't clear but it was a response to John. There's no
indication of where the message he was replying to came from or who sent
it.
If you're still in need of further clarification I'm happy to provide it.
It makes no difference whether you have the base installation of 12.0 or
have applied the 12.0.1 update, what you now need is the update listed as;
Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Service Pack 1 (12.1.0)
It's available on the Mactopia site
(http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx)
as the centerpiece captioned
Most Recent Update as well as item #1 in the Newest list located on the
right side of the same page. That Service Pack includes the same hot fixes
as did the 12.0.1 updater plus tons of more significant improvements to
all
Office applications & their performance. You don't need 12.0.1 first but
it
doesn't matter if you already have it applied.
BTW - The MS updates are also available from a variety of other sites, but
most of them simply list the available updates along with a whole slew of
other (non-MS) stuff. It's very easy to be misled by the way the content
is
presented and perhaps that's what happened in your case. Regardless, it's
advisable to obtain the updates from the Mactopia site where the content
is
strictly Mac Office & a bit clearer.
