This is just an update to let you/others know that one of the fixes
recommended on the web Office forum

worked well for me.
This bug has all of a sudden started escalating past the normal 23 fonts
it
doesn't like. I tried the suggested fix to trash the ms font cache but
that resulted in all but 16 fonts out of 240 wrongly labeled as corrupt.
The fix that has worked so far is using a Safe Boot Launch Word Quit
and
reboot in normal mode. After that All Office apps launched in good shape
with the full font menu so far. I don't know how it will hold, but
offered
for what it might be worth.
I'm running 10.4.11 on PowerMac G5 2.3 Dualcore and Office 2004 updated to
11.4.1.
