I am running Word for Mac 2008. When I attempt to search for folders or
files or attempt to change the location of files in preferences, the
display
crashes, and I get a page of graphics gibberish. The machine locks up and
can only be closed down by holding the power button down.
My local Apple Store suggested downloading the recent upgrade for Mac
Office
2008, which I did, but the update manager can't find Mac Office 2008,
which
means it won't update.
When I went to "Search for Updates" from Word, it said there were no
updates
available.
