This seems to be a bug in Word 2008, but if there is a workaround I'd love
to hear about it. I have a do***ent with protected form fields with section
breaks used to leave ****tions of the do***ent unprotected. the problem is,
when the protection is turned on the Automatic spell check for the entire
do***ent becomes disabled. The standard spell check function works but no
red indicators in the do***ent.
