strange behavior size of video

by Ferdinand Fuchs <ffuchs@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 20, 2008 at 11:17 PM

hi,

I'm trying to make a guide for my colleagues about video-formats (in
which format we should get it from partners, which format to use in
imovie,...) and as videoformat for powerpoint I would like to use:

h.264 codec, 720x576 pixel (the same size as dv and video-dvds)

my problem is now, powerpoint should use 1024x768 pixel for
presentations (I can't find anywhere a setting about this), so a
720x576 movie should fit easy.

but the strange thing is, powerpoint blows it up to fullscreen,
although in the format-settings powerpoint means, that this is the
original size.

why I don't like this? the movie looks blurry, especially if I compare
it with playing this movie in quicktime player. so I think, if I could
insert the movie in powerpoint in its native size, the movie should not
look blurry.

yes, I could make the movie smaller, but I like 720x576 because if I
want to make with iDVD a video-dvd with this film, the movie doesn't
need to be converted (pixel-size, aspect ratio) and I would have the
best possible quality.

we use mac os x 10.4.11 and powerpoint 2004 11.3.9

thanks for help in advance!

regards,

ferdinand
