Need to save PowerPoint Presentation to CD as "read-only"

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have burned a saved powerpoint package folder to CD but when I open
presentation from CD it says "read only". This is NOT true. I can still
change anything on slides. I need this presentation so the public cannot
change anything on it! Can it be password protected or something or am I
doing something wrong?
