I have the same MacBook Pro, the same version of OS X, and the same version
of PowerPoint. I have the *exact* same problem. Presentations open and
edit
fine. But as soon as I switch to Slide Show or Presenter Tools, I go into
the
mode very briefly (a second or two ) and PowerPoint crashes. My PP crash
text
is very similar to that of JDF5@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
(will post if someone
thinks
they can help).
Note: This happens with *all* presentations. I can move the same
presentations to another Mac and I have no problems there.

even if I try Slide view with an empty new
single page presentation (generated by PP at launch), the same error
occurs.
I had the same problem with OS X 10.4.10 too on this machine.

I have reinstalled MS Office Mac 2004.
Once
as a reinstall, and once as a complete wipe. I am fully up-to-date with
all
Office updates. But the problem is there even before I install the
updates.
Have a sneaking suspicion this problem has to do with video. My specific
model MacBook Pro is the MBP 17 with 2.4GHz. This machine has the
higher-resolution screen, 1920 x 1200. I have tried reducing the
resolution
but that has not helped.
Any advice would be welcomed.
