Hi,
You can take advantage of the fact that movies are always "on top" when
playing, but when in editing view you can put layers on top of the movie.
Insert the movie onto a slide (one way: Insert > Movie From File)
Re-size the movie to the full screen size (be careful not to mess the
aspect ratio - hold the ****ft key down when you grab one of the corners
then drag the corner).
Right click on the movie
Click the Effect Options button
On the Effect tab choose Hide After Animation
Put a rectangle shape (from the drawing toolbar) on top of the movie,
and then put other slide elements on top of that (or use Arrange and
bring them to the front).
When the movie plays it will be on top. When it's over the rest of your
slide will appear normally.
