It "shouldn't" be a problem in Mac XL either :-)

Is this a file that was previously used on a PC? The first thing that
comes
to mind is that Protection has been applied in the file which is
preventing
the modification. Protection in PC XL is admittedly more sophisticated
that
has been implemented in Mac XL. Check the Tools> Protection menu to
verify,
although you most likely won't be able to change the setting.

If that's not the case you'll need to provide a more thorough & detailed
description of what has been done in the file. Make sure to indicate your
exact version info for both XL and OS X when you reply.
