Switching between do***ents in Exel

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I just loaded Microsoft Office 2008 on my powerbook G4. Excel does not
respond to the command accent stroke to switch between do***ents. Am I
missing something? This is very frustrating.
