Is Excel cra****ng or quitting unexpectedly? If Excel restarts after a
crash,
it usually names the recovered file ...(version x). You should determine
which file is the real one and latest version that you wish to work with.
Then quit Excel, and use the finder to delete the ones you do not want,
and
rename the other(s) the way you want.
