Hi there,
Through your feedback we have discovered an issue with refre****ng Stock
Quote queries based on referenced cells when saved in the new Excel file
format.
The issue:
If you have rows\columns of stock quotes that you reference when creating
a
stock quote and then save this as Xlsx or any new Excel file format the
stock quote data will not refresh.
Version: Excel 2008 for Mac and all subsequent updates including latest
version 12.1.1
While we are working on getting this issue resolved there are a couple of
workarounds:
1. Save your file in the Xls file format and save all newly created web
queries as Xls.
2. Create your web query but instead of referencing the cells as you did
previously you will need to enter them into the parameter value dialog:
Select the Data menu item, then select the following:
Get External Data
Run Saved Query
MSN MoneyCentral Stock Quotes and select Get Data
Click Ok at the Return External Data Microsoft Excel dialog
Type in your stock quotes followed by a comma after each quote and
click Ok
Using this method you can save as Xlsx or any Excel file format and your
query will refresh
Thanks for your understanding with this issue!
