If you select one of those cells that has the green flag you'll see an
Error
Alert button appear adjacent to the cell. If you click that button the
menu
that pops open will tell you what the error is - In this case you have a
formula that refers to one or more cells which do not contain values.
Technically that's a no-no in a worksheet:-) But you can dismiss the error
if you wish from the choices in the button's menu.
If you go to Excel> Preferences - Error Checking you can choose what type
of
errors get flagged in that manor.
