turn spreadsheet row into a column

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

I have im****ted data into Excel that creates a row of data. I would prefer
that the data be in a column instead of a row. How can I turn a row into a
column.? I can't use PivotTable because I have only one row and cut/paste
doesn't do it either.
