Server version can be very helpful in troubleshooting this problem. I'm 
not saying the problem is with the server but a combination of Entourage 
2008 and Exchange Server 200X could cause the problem.

For example, Exchange Server 2003 uses WebDAV for Entourage to connect 
whereas Exchange Server 2007 uses a combination of WebDAV and Web 
Services. If this problem occurs with Exchange Server 2003 then the 
problem may have been fixed in Exchange Server 2007. If it happens in 
Exchange Server 2007 then most likely the problem is a result of Web 
Services.
