Specific message with attachment freezes Entourage

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

A regular correspondent has sent a message with an attachment that freezes
Entourage as soon as I select it. I can neither open nor delete it. My only
escape is to force quit. Other messages with attachments from this
correspondent and from others open fine.
