okay this didnt help :
1) 1. Log in to Mac Messenger.
2. Go to the Messenger menu > Preferences > Appearance tab
(this is the
default tab).
3. In the "Display Picture" section, make sure "Show
display pictures inside
conversations" and "Show large display pictures from others in a drawer"
are
checked.
2) Launch Messenger, but don't sign-in
Choose the option to "Sign in with a different account . .
."
Click Clear Account History . . .
Click Clear History
Now click Sign-in and enter your credentials again
So these two didnt help me solve my problem .
