Microsoft Messenger + Cisco VPN Client

by dstnphllps@[EMAIL PROTECTED] May 22, 2008 at 12:49 PM

Has anyone else had trouble using Microsoft Messenger while connected
to a VPN using the Cisco VPN client?

If I haven't established a VPN connection I'm able to connect to our
work OCS server and communicate with colleagues, however if I'm
connected to our VPN using the Cisco VPN Client I get the following
error message:

Microsoft Messenger cannot sign you in.

Either date and time settings are incorrect, or the digital
certificate file is not valid or installed on your computer. If date
and time are correct, see your network administrator to verify
that your digital certificate file is valid and installed.

I see the following in ~/Do***ents/Microsoft Messenger.log:

2008/05/22 14:44:34.496 Office Communications Server LOGON STARTED:
USER = {<domain removed>\<username removed>}
2008/05/22 14:44:34.802 Login (1) failed with error: (10.-2131885979)

My setup is as follows:

Mac OS X 10.5.2
Microsoft Messenger for Mac 7.0.0 (080409)
Cisco VPN Client 4.9.01 (0100)

Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Dustin
