Do you have access to another account that has these contacts on your
list?
The above may not help as much if the contacts have blocked a particular
account.
Is it possible the contacts have blocked you?
Do you have access to a PC running Windows Live Messenger? If so, do the
contacts show online there?
How many contacts are on your list?
