Entries in the Most Recently Used username list are stored in the Messenger
preferences file, which is located in /Users/<Your
User>/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/com.microsoft.Messenger.plist. The
Most
Recently Used list for Windows Live (Personal) service is in entries
MSNSignInMRU01-05, and the list for Co****ate service is in entries
SIPSignINnMRU01-05. You can delete the contents of each entry easily
using
a program like Property List Editor. Otherwise, you can open the file
using
a text editor and clear the data between the opening and closing <string>
tags under the appropriate key as mentioned above. Be sure Messenger is
closed when you attempt this! Or, you can delete the file, but then you
might lose some preferences (but not saved conversations, contact list,
etc.)
I think there should be an easier way to clear the list. If you agree,
send
the feature request to Microsoft. In Messenger, go to Help > Send
Feedback.
