Hello
I've been using mac messenger fine for a while... until today! Yesterday I
decided to have a play with keychain access and for some silly reason I
decided to tinker about and delete some things. I'm not sure what I
deleted exactly, but now messenger doesn't work!
I've looked at various posts for a dealing with mac messenger login issues
but none seems to resolve this.
I have reset my keychains and now I have four that appear on the
left-hand-side in the keychain access program. I have added x509anchors
(although it is the only one where I can't actually see anything inside it
on the right-hand-side of the program).
The keychains I now have are login, x509achors, system and system roots.
I've copied the Secure Server Certification Authority one from the system
roots keychain to the login keychain. I've also tried putting it in
x509anchors, but I don't have permission apparently!
Anyway, none of this has made messenger work. The error I get is that
either the date and time setting are incorrect, or the digital certificate
is not valid etc etc. I'm sure it relates to digital certification as up
until I played with keychain yesterday it works great.
Any ideas how I can rectify this would be very VERY welcome! Many thanks
in advance.
