Whenever I try to access Windows Internet Explorer wirelessly, a
Comcast.net greeting shows up asking me to install its software to
activate
my account. But I cannot do that because I am not a Comcast customer (and
I
have not intentionally signed up for any Comcast service to my knowledge).
I
thought the problem might have come from a windows update, but now I'm not
sure. My wireless Intel Pro Set Wireless shows that I'm connected, but I
can't access the Internet Explorer because this Comcast message shows up
on
the Explorer homepage and I can't go any farther than that.
I prefer doing wireless rather than my slower MSN Explorer Dialup, and
I
had no problems doing so before a few weeks ago.
Anyone have any ideas about what this problem is and how to solve it?
I'm not really computer savvy and I need all the help I can get.
Thanks very much for any help.
