I have a problem I cant resolve. My computer had/has spyware/malware
virtumonde doubleclick etc. I've run Spybot, AD-Aware, HiJackthis and
Spyhunter that I actually purchased for 29.99 because they said it would
remove Virtumonde, Well it says its removed but I have some strange things
going on in Internet Explorer and Automatic updates. Internet Explorer
cookie
setting always revert back to accept all cookies and my Autromatic update
service gets disabled and gives me an error when I try to start it. Im
posting this from work and the problem computer is at home so I cant give
exact error messages. I was able to find some helpful commands to run in a
command window that allowed me to restore the file that controls MS
Updates
from the orignal Windows XP SP2 disk and I was able to get my MSupdates
service to start. I got as far as viewing available updates of which there
was only one and that was XP SP3. Then right infront of me something
disabled
the MSupdate service again. Another thing I noticed is that I cant delete
my
profile\local\temp files because a file is in use. Any help would be
greatly
appreciated. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will be home after
12pm
and can then give exact error messages. Thanks you
