It might be because the ".mac" bit is at the end, and probably gets chopped
off in their view of things.

Also, as OE is intertwined with IE, there are strange group names;

Which look discouraging when truncated;
<microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie...
So they end up here.
26 groups with "outlookexpress" in the name.
The most promising for PC users might be;
<microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress> ?
